Comtrax is an investment management app built to make portfolio investing workable for everyday users. The backend uses Node.js with Express for non-blocking I/O — necessary when many transactions and market-data calls are in flight at once. MongoDB is the primary store, chosen for its flexibility with varied investment data structures and its performance under the read-heavy load typical of financial apps.
